Job Description Would you like to join a world class team and help to construct the next generation of Smart Motorway networks that keep Britain moving? Rullion are proud to be partnering with Balfour Beatty to recruit for Section Engineers to join the M4 Smart Motorway team. This is the largest Smart Motorway project in the UK and includes the demolition and rebuild of 11 bridges as well as the installation and build of 4 new bridge structures that will carry road users over roads, railways and rivers.What you'll be doing: The successful Section Manager will be required to manage, monitor and maintain the programme of works ensuring that all work is delivered safely, on time and to budget. Along with managing equipment and materials. Typical duties would include:Liaison between the Sub Agent and client on site.Managing and coordinating the subcontractors and site engineersCarrying out quality inspections as requiredCarrying out complex setting outAmending and writing method statements and risk assessmentsProducing a weekly programme and measure progress against KPIsCommunicating weekly programme and targets to the workforceEnsuring a relentless focus on Zero Harm.What we're looking for:You will be able to demonstrate strong heavy civils or bulk earthworks experience as a Section Engineer ideally gained within the UK motorway or highway network.You will have completed construction related degree or will have gained equivalent experience within industry.You will hold a current driving license and CSCS Card. SSSTS or SMSTS qualifiedYou should be a strong communicator who can ensure that the requirements of a safe system of work to ensure are followed accurately.
