We are excited to welcome applications to our progressive Physics Academic Mentor role available at a high-performing Secondary School in Sutton.

This role is ideal for Physics graduates with a first-class or 2:1 degree in Physics or a closely related subject, who have achieved excellent GCSE and A-Level grades.

This Physics Academic Mentor role is available for the academic year, offering a salary range of £18,750-£21,500 per annum.

Physics Academic Mentor - Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide targeted support to small groups and individual students, helping them improve their performance in Physics, particularly in preparation for GCSE and A-Level exams.
  • Work with class teachers to create engaging and effective resources that support the delivery of Physics lessons.
  • Lead intervention sessions designed to boost student performance in Physics, ensuring they achieve their academic potential.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, offering constructive feedback and additional support where necessary.
Physics Academic Mentor - Essential Qualities:
  • A first-class or 2:1 degree in Physics or a closely related subject.
  • Strong academic track record with excellent GCSE and A-Level grades.
  • A passion for helping students succeed and an interest in inspiring them to explore Physics further.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students and staff.
  • Previous experience in tutoring or working with students is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.
